Scholarship

The Dean of Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, awards 6 and Department of Czech for Foreigners awards 4 three-month scholarships, each of 7 000 Czech crowns per month for studying Czech language, literature and culture.

These scholarships are running always from October to December of academic year and are intended for students of foreign universities (Czech studies).

Aplicants should have a good knowledge of Czech language in order to be able to follow lectures and attend seminars conducted in Czech.

In exceptional case this scholarship may be awarded to students of other subjects as well (psychology, English, German and Romance languages and literature, etc.) These cases are conditioned by the applicant’s previous contact with the respective institutes.

Scholarship holders can use the students canteen and accomodation in residence halls which will be arranged for them. The cost of a single bed in a double room is approx. 3 500 Czech crowns per month.

The scholarship does not include health insurance.

The application form with a brief CV and at least one letter of recommendation from a professor of Czech language at the home university should be submitted no later the April 30 of academic year.

You will be informed about the results by June 30 of academic year.
