Brünner Beiträge zur Germanistik und Nordistik is a reviewed scholarly journal, published since 1977 by the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, Brno. It welcomes contributions in the fields of German, Dutch and Nordic linguistics, literary history and cultural studies.

Conditions for accepting manuscripts:

Manuscripts can be submitted in German, English, Dutch or some Nordic languages. Articles may be on disc or by e-mail in Word format, and discs should be accompanied by one hard copy. Articles should not exceed 20 pages of CSN 88 0220 (typesetting standard), including notes; reviews, reports and information should not exceed 5 pages of the same norm. Manuscripts should be accompanied by an abstract in German or English.

The journal retains the right to make language corrections to all texts but the author can agree to stylistic or other changes before publication.

Authors must not submit manuscripts anonymously, but should joint their full address, including telephone number or fax number.

Conditions for publishing articles:

The SPFFBU, R (Brünner Beiträge zur Germanistik und Nordistik) is a reviewed specialist journal and all contributions must therefore meet the formal and professional criteria it sets. Manuscripts are reviewed by independent experts. On the basis of this independent review, the Editorial Board of the BBGN decides if and when to publish the article. The journal will inform the author of the reviewers judgments as soon as possible. Manuscripts are not returned, there is no financial gratification. The final decision on publication lies with the Editor SPFFBU, R.
