Guidelines for contributors
Submission Criteria
Submissions may be in Czech, Slovak, English, German or French. Submissions must be in Word for Windows format, and should be accompanied by two hard copies. Articles should not exceed 36,000 characters (including spaces). This figure includes footnotes/endnotes. Reviews, reports and information should not exceed 9,000 characters.
The authors are asked to follow the "Style guidelines for publications in Umění/Art" (www.umeni-art.cz). Manuscripts should be accompanied by an abstract and key words in Czech and English with a maximum length of one page.
The journal retains the right to make language corrections to all texts. All other changes are subject to the author’s approval.
Anonymous submissions are not accepted. All submissions must include the sender’s complete name, address, and contact information (telephone number, fax number, e-mail, etc.)
Publication Criteria
Opuscula historiae artium is a reviewed scholarly journal. All contributions must therefore meet its established formal and academic criteria. Submissions are reviewed anonymously by one or two scholars in the field. On the basis of these independent reviews, the Editorial Board of Opuscula historiae artium makes decisions on publication and scheduling. The editor will inform authors of the reviewers’ assessments in a prompt and timely manner.
No financial compensation for publication in this journal is available. The final decision on publication lies with the Editor.
