Are you planning a research collaboration with Poland? A call for Polish-Czech project proposals, launched by the GA CR)in collaboration with NCN, offers the opportunity to secure funding for a joint international project scheduled to commence in 2028. The call is being implemented as part of the Weave initiative and utilises the Lead Agency evaluation model.

Czech proposals may be submitted from 15 September to 22 December 2026. Polish partners submit proposals in accordance with NCN rules, which set the submission deadline at 15 December 2026. The Czech side should therefore submit its proposal within 7 days of the official deadline set by the NCN for Polish applicants.

In this call, the NCN acts as the lead evaluation agency. The Polish partner submits the proposal to the NCN, whilst the Czech proposer submits the Czech part of the project via the GRIS system to the GA CR (the project must be created under the call ‘Lead Agency – Partner Organisation – 2028 – Israel (ISF), Poland (NCN)’). The success of the proposal depends on the timely submission of both parts of the project and their correct pairing.

Projects with a duration of 24 or 36 months are eligible for funding, and all participating teams must have the same project duration.
