Doc. Mgr. Irena Radová, Ph.D., was the only candidate in the dean election for the 2026–2030 term. She thus defended her current mandate, having been the dean of the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University since 2022. From 2004 to 2022, she headed the Department of Classical Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University. She was elected in the second round, receiving 11 votes out of a possible 21. She won the post of Dean of the Faculty of Arts MU with the Modern Faculty Open to Dialogue II program and with a vice-dean team consisting of:
- doc. PhDr. Iva Burešová, Ph.D. (doctoral study programs and the quality of study programs)
- doc. Mgr. Pavel Caha, Ph.D. (research, publishing, and project activities)
- doc. PhDr. Petr Dytrt, Ph.D. (internationalization and digitization)
- Ing. Mgr. Zdeňka Jastrzembská, Ph.D. (admissions and public relations)
- prof. PhDr. Martina Pavlicová, CSc. (personnel policy, academic affairs, association activities)
- Mgr. et Mgr. Bc. Zuzana Šalamounová, Ph.D. (studies in teaching programs and studies in lifelong learning)
- Mgr. Josef Šaur, Ph.D. (study affairs in the Bachelor and Master cycle)
Based on the election results, the Chair of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, will submit a proposal to the Rector of Masaryk University to appoint Irena Radová as Dean of the Faculty of Arts for the term of office 2026–2030. Based on this proposal, the Rector will appoint the elected candidate to the position, effective April 1, 2026.
