Art Workshop and Guided Tour of the Exhibition Mapping Through Children’s Eyes

  • 26 April 2026
    10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Galerie Edikula, Building C, FF MU, Arne Nováka 1, Brno

Do you remember how you once saw the city through a child’s eyes? What was it like to walk through it for the first time, without a map and without predefined meanings?

The creative participatory program accompanying the exhibition Mapping Through Children’s Eyes invites you to slow down and look at familiar places from a different perspective. At the beginning of the session, Eva Vaňová will introduce her collaboration with the DROM Roma Center and explain how workshops with children lead to the creation of personal maps of the places where they live. She will demonstrate how children’s drawings and shared experiences are transformed into original artworks.

Inspired by this approach, we will then head into the surroundings of the faculty and explore the space through personal perception, impressions, lines, and traces.
Individual recordings will come together to form a collective map of a shared experience, and you will be able to take a fragment of it with you.
