Book Launch: Travel Logs 4. South Caucasus. The Art of Ancient Armenia and Georgia

On behalf of the Centre for Early Medieval Studies at the Department of Art History of Masaryk University, we cordially invite you to the book launch "Travel Logs 4. South Caucasus. The Art of Ancient Armenia and Georgia" in the Brno bookstore Barvič & Novotný at 13 Česká Street.

The book launch will take place on Thursday, February 9, 2022, at 5:30 p.m., hosted by Ivan Foletti and Jiří Macháček and will be accompanied by a special live episode of their podcast Středvěk (jinak) trvá.

Book abstract

This book, intended for admirers of the unique cultural heritage of the South Caucasus, is the result of five study trips undertaken by students and teachers of the Department of Art History of the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University in Brno between 2015 and 2022 to the areas of present-day Armenia, Georgia and Turkey, i.e. to the medieval kingdoms of Armenia and Iberia.
