Paleography Club

Do you want to improve your reading of historical written sources, but don't have the time or inclination to do so in your free time? Come and join our student Paleography Club.

Paleography, one of the auxiliary sciences of history, deals with the development of writing, various symbols, and abbreviations, and is essential for anyone who works with historical sources and needs to read them correctly. At our meetings, we read medieval and modern texts in Czech, German, and Latin. We check each other's reading, correct each other, and help each other to make reading enjoyable and enriching for everyone.

You can come and try it out once, or even every week. The club is open to students of all fields and levels of study. In the spring semester of 2026, it takes place every Tuesday from 6 p.m. in room B2.11.
