The Vortex: A Century of the Columbian Classic

In 2024, one hundred years passed since the publication of the novel The Vortex (orig. La vorágine) by the Colombian author José Eustasio Rivera, a classic not only of Colombian but also of Hispanic American literature. At the same time, it was one of the first Hispanic American books translated into Czech. The exhibition of the Embassy of the Republic of Colombia traces the author’s life and the genesis of the work, as well as several of its Czech translations. In English.
