From AI to wellbeing: What did this year's Teacher Week bring?

Teacher's Week was held at the Faculty of Arts MU from 22 April 2025 and addressed teachers, students of pedagogical disciplines and education enthusiasts. Participants could try practical exercises focused on wellbeing, crisis management or effective pedagogical time management. A two-day experiential programme, DemoPlayer, aimed at strengthening democratic competences of children from the second cycle of primary and secondary schools was also presented.

The programme also included the presentation of the Dean's Award for outstanding educational activity. The award, intended for academic staff and lecturers of the Faculty of Arts MU who have made a long-term and significant contribution to outstanding educational activities and spread the good name of the faculty through their contribution, was awarded to Michal Černý from the Department of Information and Library Studies of the Faculty of Arts MU. The award was presented to him by Zuzana Šalamounová, Vice-Dean for teacher training programmes and lifelong education of the MU Faculty of Arts.
