Description The monograph examins the history of winery in regions, which became an integral part of the Islamic civilization up to the 7th century and later of various states and provinces, in which Islam became a state religion and ideological (spiritual) part of respective cultures. It is commonly known, that wine and other types of alcoholic beverages have been prohibited by the Islamic law, but the history of various parts of the Islamic world shows, that the culture of winery, drinking wine and other sorts of alcohol have always had its adherents and was an integral part of local culinary culture.
