Description The topic of the first women in the history of Moravian archaeology has not yet been processed collectively. The entire topic is closely related to the issue of women's emancipation and women's education, for which, in the Czech environment - especially in the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century - had a specific emphasis on patriotism. The article focuses on the women who came to archaeology mainly because of their fathers or husbands, and they took up archaeology because of their interest. We will even meet women who came to archaeology by a different path. The work includes the first professional archaeologist working in Moravia who studies this at universities.
