Description The principal aim of the project covers the research and usability of traditional building techniques applied in lowland and flatland regions of Moravia to rehabilitate and safeguard the sustainable condition of clay architecture monuments. Those monuments are the most endangered group of historic rural buildings of regional and supra-regional importance; therefore, the implementation of the presented procedure is very relevant now. The knowledge obtained and verified by the project will be applicable in constructions of translocated buildings in the open-air museums, as well as in preservation of monuments. Adherence to traditional procedures will result in safeguarding the authenticity of original buildings to the largest possible extent. The research plan has an aim predefined for a specific geographical territory and it will try to answer even the hitherto unclear questions regarding the age, genesis, and mutual relations of building techniques processing unburnt clay. The comparison with the development of similar clay architecture in the wider territory of Central Danube region will be an important element for genesis investigation into the aforementioned type of folk house.
