Description Paper deals with situation reports of different security corps and institutions as with the historical records by analyzing the mood and expectations of population. Attention is paid to case of the borderlands of Czechoslovakia after the WWII, thus to the territory which was affected by almost total exchange of present population due to expulsion and later "transfer" of the Germans and recolonization by new settlers. Especially German speaking inhabitants were situated in very difficult position with uncertain future and were strongly limited in access to news and reliable information. All the affected territory also presented environment very suitable for spreading of different rumors and whispered propaganda about the future settlement of political situation in Czechoslovakia and Europe.
