| Description | Leoš Janáček Foundation is governed by the Board of Directors and Supervisory Board. Leoš Janáček Foundation was established by the Czech Music Fund on December 19, 1991 from the royalties of Leoš Janáček's music and literary works. Its mission is to develop continuously the spiritual values emanating from Leoš Janáček's whole-life work. It is represented by a broad spectrum of activities from the publishing of Janáček's musical scores (both practical and critical versions), literary and theoretical writings, correspondence and other documents to the support of concert and theatre performances of Janáček's works. Leoš Janáček Foundation gives a high priority to studies on various aspects of Janáček's life and work as well as to extensive research works that will enlarge the knowledge of the outstanding composer. Another important task of the Foundation is to provide a support for young musicians who might interpret Janáček’s ideas in the future. |
