| Description | Medical use was one of the initial motivations floristic research. In our countries there has been significant development of botanical mapping in the context of the National Revival, Patriotic efforts and affiliated with a scholarly interest in natural science (D.Štúr, D. Sloboda, brothers Preslové, K.S Amerling) and eventually gave rise to ethnology motivated investigation. Even in our environment thus appears as ethnobotany study of specific interactions between the plant world and folk culture, which can be considered as a concrete manifestation of the contribution of different forms of theoretical work into a program of national emancipation. |
