Description The paper explores regional aspects of the electoral threshold in regional elections in the Czech Republic. Absolute numbers of votes required to gain a seat in each regional assembly are analyzed and compared in the time period between 2000 – 2012. Since electoral districts for regional elections are the same as for the parliamentary (Chamber of Deputies) elections, results for these two types of elections are also compared. The last part of the analysis focuses on shifts of candidates within their candidate list in each region as a result of preferential voting, again for both types of election. The main aim of the text is describtion of electoral treshold in regional comparative perspective.
