Description Phobic anxiety disorders, characterized by fear of a specific object or situation, which is over the normal rate, are relatively wide-spread in the population. The treatment is usually done by cognitive behavioral therapy. Within the behavioral part of the therapy, there are methods such as exposure to the fear-inducing stimulus, practicing of behavior in specific situations, and systematic desensitization. In physical world, it is sometimes for practical reason difficult to expose clients to some of the specific fear-inducing conditions. In such cases, it is possible to use so-called VRET ("virtual reality exposure therapy"). In VRET we can induce fear in fully-controlled conditions with a possibility to gradate and increase difficulty of the simulation. At the workshop we are going to demonstrate immersive virtual reality devices with a possibility to become acquainted with the experience of staying in immersive virtual environment.
