| Description | This thesis is focused on death and funeral of František Palacký and also on the importance of these events for the then Czech society. First part descirbes Palacký’s death, reaction of the public, preparation for funeral and burial ceremony itself. Concurrently with these topics the thesis fellows some secondary phenomena, e. g. activity of national associations or commercial operations of merchants. There are also mentioned appreciated and criticized aspects of the funeral feast and political and national consequences of Palacký's death. |
