Description The focus of this paper is on copies of inscriptions on Medieval Jewish tombstones from Znojmo that were made by Joseph Edmund Horky in 1819. In this year, Horky undertook a research trip through south-western Moravia. In Znojmo, he arranged to have copied inscriptions from five medieval Jewisch tombstonest that had been found there in 1804. Horky preserved copies of inscriptions on tombstones dating from 1334, 1390, 1405/1406, 1406 and 1413.
