Description Contemporary research on conjunction (i.e. Schmitt 2020) has focused on English 'and' and its counterparts. In this paper I aim to extend this research onto complex Czech conjunction, particularly through the lens of the J-µ structure proposed by Mitrović and Sauerland (2016). It consists of two distinct elements - a non-distributive conjunction J and a distributive particle µ (which requires a type-shift S on the conjunct). The proposal predicts the following minimal syntax: [_JP [_µP [ [ A ] [ S ] ] [ µ ] ] [ [ J ] [_µP [ [ B ] [ S ] ] [ µ ] ] ] ] Through a corpus study, I examine the mutual distribution of a set of Czech J and µ candidates in sentential, subject and object positions. I compare the J candidates' behavior to the prototypical 'and' in terms of (non-)distributivity reading ambiguity and marking availability to ascertain how well Czech fits the proposed structure. Furthermore, I aim to determine the most viable µ candidate by investigating the overlap between its properties and usage and those defined in the J-µ proposal.
