| Description | The paper explores how headteachers support teachers’ work ability through open, supportive, and collaborative leadership. Based on qualitative interviews with 44 Czech lower secondary school headteachers, the study shows that effective communication, professional autonomy, wellbeing support, and a positive school climate are central to promoting teachers’ work ability, while responsibility for maintaining it is shared between leaders and teachers. |
