Description Translating medieval sources often involves navigating complex linguistic, cultural, and historical challenges. Striking a balance between maintaining the integrity of the original text and making it comprehensible in another language is delicate. Additionally, presenting medieval texts without the influence of charged national perspectives poses a significant challenge. My contribution took a form of a roundtable discussion which offered a platform for participants to share their experiences, solutions, and strategies for overcoming the above obstacles. My contribution specifically addressed the common challenges in translating primary sources, such as language nuances, cultural context, and historical accuracy. It emphasized the importance of accuracy and unbiased perspectives, and explored ways to achieve these goals.
