Description The so-called Czech Reformation of the 15th century is a well-known period in Central European history. However, how we perceive the canon of the Hussite literature is a different issue. Texts stemming from this period are often seen as a parts of a well-defined corpus even though only the most authoritative names of authors are known and majority of texts are ascribed to these names. As Mortensen (Analecta Romana 2017, p. 47) argued, accessibility is an important yet somewhat overlooked factor in the formation of medieval literary canon. A number of Hussite and anti-Hussite texts were discovered and printed for the first time only in the 16th century when many of these texts were ascribed to certain authors or anonymised. With the help of a few examples, this paper will focus on the intermediaries that influenced the forming of the canon of Hussite literature – including medieval cataloguers, early modern printers or contemporary digital solutions – in order to unveil the different factors that played a role in this process.
