Description The main aim of this article is to describe and explain the psychological aspects of using deictic expressions in select Slavic languages: Old Church Slavonic, Czech, Ukrainian, and Russian. As discussed in previous research, deixis and deictic expressions are a highly significant lexical category frequently employed in both spoken and written communication. Their use can be influenced by various factors, including the speaker’s mental state and communicative intentions.
