| Description | The article examines Czech borrowings in translations of the Bible in the Old Polish, Old Belarusian and Lower Lusatian languages. Since Bible of Queen Sophia, M. Jakubica's the New Testament and F. Skaryna's Bible were translated using Czech sources, Czech influence is noticeable in these monuments at different linguistic levels. The object of study of this article is lexical Bohemisms recorded in two or all three translations. Thus, the general lexical composition of Czech origin, which was formed in each monument independently of each other, is analysed. |
