| Description | This contribution does not provide definite answers, but rather raises questions about the pillars of traditional teaching of musical forms from the perspective of the advanced 21st century. From the position of a teacher of the subject, we will reflect on the current form of university teaching of musical forms within musicology. We will focus on the issue of teaching music that is not fixed by notation and other questions that need to be addressed, such as graphic and conceptual scores, non-tonal music, closed versus open musical structure, the parameter of space in music, etc. The most important question is how to effectively prepare students to independently solve analytical situations in contemporary music. |
