| Description | The lecture aims to introduce the concept of the harmony of the worold, which has been "resounding" through European thought for several millennia. Can reality be understood as harmony (the consonance of the diverse), including possible dissonances? And if the whole world is "music," what is its relationship to "our" vocal and instrumental music? The purpose and goal of the lecture will be to show the fullness and fruitfulness of the concept of "harmony of the world". The starting point for the interpretation is philosophical, but an integral part of it is the plenitude of musical and literary examples. |
