| Description | Kłodzko Borderland and the Nowa Ruda-Broumov Region is not only an interesting tourist region on the Czech-Polish border, but also the place of birth or activity of many prominent Czechs (Božena Němcová, Alois Jirásek, Josef Čapek, Karel Čapek, Josef Škvorecký, Marie Stryjová) and Polish writers (Olga Tokarczuk, Hubert Klimko-Dobrzaniecki, Karol Maliszewski). Their books feature historical themes as well as insights into their neighbours on the other side of the border and mutual Polish-Czech relations. Thanks to the work of these writers, important institutions and interesting cultural and educational projects were established in the Polish-Czech border region. |
