| Description | The study analyzes Alena Sabuchová’s novel Šeptuchy as a significant example of new regionalism in contemporary Slovak prose. It examines how themes of regional identity, memory, and personal trauma intertwine with global influences and cultural hybridity. Based on the theory of glocalization, it argues that the novel does not create a contradiction between the local and the global but connects and shapes these areas. The author’s close relationship to the depicted region also opens new possibilities for reflecting on regional writing in a globalized world. |
