| Description | The chapter deals with the political party Union of Freedom - Democratic Union (US-DEU), which was formed when the Union of Freedom (US) and the Democratic Union (DEU) merged at the beginning of 2002. It was a merger of a liberal and right-wing anti-communist party. US-DEU gained government representation, but after 2006, it was no longer represented in the Chamber of Deputies and ceased to exist in 2016. |
