| Description | Artificial intelligence (AI) tools were originally considered a promising substitute for mechanical activities in the field of data processing, but it soon became apparent that they could boldly compete with creative human achievements in the arts. The following text is based on a theoretical reflection on an experimental project that partially used AI tools to create a multimedia performance. The performance included a scenic and audio component and was intended to stage the imaginary subjective histories of visitors to an Art Nouveau cinema in a small Swedish town. The purpose of this essay is to reflect in a broader context on the role that AI can play in generating false memories and thus alternative histories. |
