| Description | The text presents the pilot study of a dissertation focused on the approaches of Czech teachers to teaching English word order. The research combines direct observation and semi-structured interviews. The pilot study shows that the teacher prefers inductive methods and supports learner autonomy, while the comparison with the mother tongue is used only selectively. Textbooks play rather a supportive role, with the creation and adaptation of own materials being crucial. The results of the pilot study contribute mainly to refining the methodology for the main dissertation research |
