Description The presentation reflected on a Knowledge Exchange between Masaryk University and the University of Potsdam in the field of Digital Humanities. The exchange was not designed as a joint project or integration effort, but as a comparative exploration of how institutional contexts shape research infrastructures, research support, teaching, and community engagement. Specific cases discussed included Digitalia MUNI ARTS, the Theodor Fontane Archive, Digitale Bildung, and the Network Digital Humanities and DraCor. The exchange helped identify shared challenges, particularly in community engagement, sustainability, impact measurement, and skills development. The presentation emphasized that infrastructures evolve within specific institutional settings and depend fundamentally on people rather than technology alone. It concluded with recommendations for strengthening the link between DIGITALIA Muni Arts infrastructure and research, developing domain-specific APIs, and activating communities through focused collaborative activities.
