| Description | A large number of textile collections remain scattered across various locations, making systematic research on them quite challenging. However, new technologies now make it possible to conduct field research at a much higher standard than was previously possible. The aim of this paper is to present the possibilities of effective field research, the outputs of which enable the digitization and reconstruction of patterns and gather essential information for compiling a technological analysis. The described method of field research allows for maximum efficiency—that is, acquiring, digitizing, and making available the maximum amount of information about preserved textiles at minimal cost. |
