Description	Biotechnology can be ranked among most dynamically developing industrial branches. The article implies a state of this branch in the Czech Republic, compares different conditions of developed economies and the Czech Republic, refers to the opportunities of future development. As a practical outcome it lists and characterizes our biotechnological companies.
