| Description | Freudian Family Romance in Literature and Cinema (Notes). This work approaches the so-called “Freudian family romance”, assessing its operational capacity in the study of cinema and literature. The essay presents a history of this Freud’s work and how it can be incorporated to understanding of cinema and literature, in both of which the elements of this subconscious narrative are abundant (orphans, missing mothers, authoritarian parental figures, e.g.). In this work are also used other notions from Freud and Lacan (sublimation, day-dreaming, voyeurism, death-drive). |
