The Student Chamber of the Academic Senate at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, has new members. The elections determined the three seats

David Buxbaum, Tobiáš Dvořák, and Jonáš Štepita were elected in the March by-elections. Voter turnout was 9.86%.

The by-elections to the Student Chamber of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Arts MU for the 2024–2027 term concluded on March 17. Nine candidates from all types of study programs ran for the three vacant Senate seats; voter turnout reached 9.86% – 592 out of a total of 6,002 eligible voters cast their ballots.

David Buxbaum received the most votes (246), Tobiáš Dvořák came in second place (185), and Jonáš Štepita took third place (180). Their terms will last until May 2027.

The alternates, in order of ranking, in the event of another vacancy in the Senate, will be Daniel Pavlíček (120 votes), Jakub Tesař (112), Martin Šenk (110), Vladimír Škaroupka (82), Kryštof Lindauer (71), and Sebastian Bobrov (43).

Any objections to the validity of the election may be filed by 10:00 a.m. on March 23, 2026. The newly elected senators will meet for the first time at a meeting of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Arts MU on April 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the Dean’s Office conference room.
