The Academic Senate of the FF MU has approved the methodology for allocating the faculty’s budget for 2026
A total of 25 items were discussed at the meeting on April 13, 2026. In addition to budgetary procedures, the Senate also discussed the composition of the Scientific Council, plans to appoint associate deans, and the accreditation of study programs. Following the by-elections to the Student Chamber, the student representatives elected Bc. Adéla Velátová as the new Chair and First Vice-Chair of the Senate. The composition of the Senate committees was also revised. The Senate further discussed the dean’s proposal to appoint individual vice-deans, approved the appointment of the faculty’s scientific council, and decided on an organisational change to the Centre for Asian Studies.
The meeting also continued the discussion on the methodology for allocating the Faculty of Arts’ budget for 2026, which the Senate ultimately approved, as well as the revised 2026 budget. Furthermore, the cancellation of the accreditation of several doctoral study programs, established to support new doctoral study programs in linguistics, literary philology, and historical sciences, was discussed.
