The Academic Senate approved the new degree programme and discussed the final organizational details of the dean's election
The Conciliation Committee gained a new external member and an opinion was adopted on the recent pre-suit appeal by MU students who feel affected by the anti-epidemic measures.
At its meeting on 13 December 2021, the Academic Senate of the FA MU discussed the last organizational details of the dean election, especially the debates of the candidates with the faculty public. Details can be found on the elections page.
The new Bachelor's degree program "Culture, Media and Performative Arts" was recommended for consideration by the MU Faculty of Arts Scientific Board and the MU Internal Evaluation Board.
The Conciliation Committee gained a new external member in the person of student Lucie Lindnerová.
On the initiative of Prof. Krob, a resolution was adopted on the recent case of a pre-suit appeal by Masaryk University students who feel affected by anti-epidemic measures:
The Academic Senate regrets the fact that students who felt negatively affected by the anti-epidemic measures of the University and the Faculty and were convinced that their rights and freedoms were threatened did not use the standard remedies, did not turn to their representatives in the Senate or to the Academic Senate as such and chose the path of media coverage, including the risk of litigation. The Academic Senate of the MU Faculty of Arts wishes to assure all members of the academic community, students, and teachers that it is ready to mediate with the faculty management in such cases and to support all legitimate demands.
The dates of the Senate meetings for the spring semester were set for 31 January, 14 March, and 25 April.
