Enrolment in the study

Information and instructions for admitted students

General information

Only those applicants who have completed their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree study programme and gained the corresponding academic title may be enrolled in the follow-up Master’s degree study programme.

You will be informed about the exact date of enrolment by mail. For the actual enrolment, bring a certified copy of your graduation certificate, a valid identity card, and a pen. Foreign nationals shall submit a certificate of education if the proof of education is issued abroad and the international treaty does not stipulate otherwise (this does not apply to citizens of the Slovak Republic). For details on the recognition of foreign education and qualifications, please see here.

A letter of acceptance to study is also a part of the enrolment process.

Enrolment for students and graduates of Masaryk University

Applicants who are already or have been Masaryk University students (are enrolled in another field or re-admitted to study) and own their access to data in the Information System (UCO and password) may be enrolled without personal participation. It is sufficient that the applicant brings in person or sends by post the completed enrolment form and a simple copy of the graduation certificate to the Study Department, Faculty of Arts, Arna Nováka 1, 602 00 Brno, no later than the last working day before the beginning of the semester.

A letter of acceptance to study is also a part of the enrolment process.

Authorisation to enrol

It is possible to authorise another person to accept the letter of acceptance to study and fulfil the enrolment process with power of attorney (does not need to be notary certified). It must be evident from the content of the power of attorney that the person is authorised to act as principal for decision-making when assuming the acceptance to study and access and enrolment keys. The authorised person must have same documents as the applicant, with their own proof of identity. The required forms can be found in the section of Materials for applicants.
