Planned shutdown of all laptops running Windows 10

Following the example of shutting down PCs in offices that did not support the latest Windows system, all laptops that fall under central administration and still have Windows 10 installed will also be shut down soon. If you have such a laptop, please back up all necessary data by January 23, 2026, at the latest, when the shutdown will take place. After that, it will no longer be possible to use the laptop.

The shutdown applies to the following types of devices:

• laptops that cannot be upgraded to Windows 11 due to outdated hardware
• laptops that have not been sent to CIT for reinstallation and still use Windows 10
• laptops that have been updated to Windows 11 but do not use the new domain (this can be recognized by the fact that the computer name uses the old designation -nb).
