Moving together for a good cause. Faculty of Arts MU employees contributed CZK 7,320 to MUNI Helps activities. The money comes from voluntary admission fees for faculty movement activities. Head of HR Veronika Janíková presented the symbolic cheque to the volunteer centre at the university-wide MUNI Day event.
"I am thrilled that we could support a good cause, and I believe the money will help where it is needed," said faculty bursar Jiří Velinský. He also hopes that even more people will get involved in sports activities.
The MUNI Helps Volunteer Centre was established in March 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, it has become an integral part of the university and has been actively helping where needed, for example, during the devastating tornado in South Moravia, the refugee crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, and many other situations.
We thank all those who contribute to ensuring that solidarity does not remain just a word through their participation in faculty activities.
You can choose from two weekly movement classes, which take place right on the faculty campus. You can take a yoga class every Tuesday to awaken your body and mind, and a healthy back class every Thursday.
