The current issue of the journal Études romanes de Brno brings a thematic section “Novos olhares sobre o fantástico em português” dealing with the fantastic in Lusophone literatures. The Dossier was created on the basis of cooperation between Czech and foreign authors and its contributors are important researchers in the field. Articles from Études focus on Francophone literatures, contemporary Latin American literature, and Spanish and Portuguese linguistics. Finally, reviews on current publications in Spanish linguistics and Italian literary history are included. All contributions are written in Romance languages, namely Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian, and they come mainly from foreign contributors.
