The current issue of the journal Études romanes de Brno brings the thematic dossier “Lenguas amenazadas en la Península Ibérica. Situación actual y perspectivas para el futuro“, which deals with the situation of endangered languages in the Iberian Peninsula in terms of language policy, sociolinguistics or linguistic geography. It brings a revision of the current bibliography and the state of knowledge in the field, but it also includes current studies directly from the field. Articles from Études focus on Portuguese and Brazilian literature, on Latin American theater, and the teaching of Italian and Portuguese as foreign languages. Finally, there come reviews on current publications in the field of French and Italian literature and the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. All contributions are written in Romance languages, in Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian, and come mainly from foreign contributors.
