The current issue of the journal Études romanes de Brno brings a thematic section “España 2021: política en la literatura, literatura en polítíca” dealing with socially and politically committed contemporary Spanish literature. The Dossier was created due to cooperation between Czech and foreign authors and its contributors are important researchers in the field. Articles from Études focus on Francophone literatures and their translation, Italian literature, as well as Spanish and Portuguese linguistics. Finally, reviews on current publications in Spanish linguistics, as well as French and Italian literary history are included. All contributions are written in Romance languages, namely Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian, and they come mainly from foreign contributors.
