| Popis | Given the Rational Election Theory, the present investigation studies the differences between two groups of Canarian speakers: politicians and news presenters. Since there is a minimal number of standard spanish realizations of the phonema /s/ in the speech of the polititians whereas in presenters' speech the occurence of this realization increases notably, we point out the existence of rational election of the speakers based on their sociolinguistic conscience of linguistic attitudes in Canary Islands and their professional goals. |
