| Popis | The Patriotic Association of Chinese Catholics is an organization that is often presented negatively, mainly because of its willingness to cooperate with the communist regime. The biggest critics are the members of the underground Catholic Church and the so-called domestic Protestant churches that do not support the communist regime and are severely repressed. They often support democratization efforts and speak out directly against the Chinese Communist Party. On the contrary, representatives of various patriotic associations are trying to harmonize cooperation with the Government of the People's Republic of China (PRC). |
