Citace
Popis In addition to the Gregorian chant, the Moravian folk song is one of the significant sources of inspiration in the work of Pavel Zemek Novák (*1957). His language is generally characterised by an inclination to horizontal thinking, most notably in the form of concentrated work with the composition technique called unison. Part of the paper is the presentation of the concept of the central line in all its subtypes, as a fundamental paradigm not only of unison, but also of broader compositional techniques used by composers. This is done in an effort to unify the theoretical and practical level of the composer’s work as a compositional, but also conceptual ideal with regard to the overall focus of the artist towards Christian symbolism. The paper focuses on those compositions in which the Moravian inspirations appear most significantly, most notably at the level of interval-melodic formation, and rhythmic or thematic, etc.
