| Popis | This study looks at Xaver Bayer's short story Mahl and links it to Jan Philipp Reemtsma's social-theoretical and cultural-scientific reflections on the phenomenon of violence and its fascination and attraction. For in both Reemtsma's explanations and Bayer's short story, violence is viewed detached from psychologization, exemplified, and thus presented as banal because deeply inherent in human behavior. |
